Latest chrome update6/4/2023 ![]() ![]() That version will continue to be distributed to clients, even if Google releases an updated Chrome version after the action is taken. ![]() That version is downloaded and cached on the Root Server and Relays. Note: The latest Google Chrome version available will be download at the time the Action is taken. Currently, the conversion has no known impact and no user action is required in relation to this conversion. A 32-bit version of the application that is installed on a 64-bit operating system will be converted to a 64-bit version. It is assumed that only a 64-bit version of the application is installed on a 64-bit operating system. The only other way to confirm architecture is to examine its uninstaller executable, which BigFix does not currently support. Note: Google does not provide a way to detect if the application has a 32-bit or 64-bit architecture. Important Note: This Fixlet will remain Relevant even after upgrading Chrome to the latest available version. Use Fixlet message "Google Chrome - Consumer Edition Installed" (ID 14011003) to uninstall the consumer edition of Google Chrome. BigFix recommends that the consumer edition of Google Chrome is uninstalled before installing the enterprise edition. Additionally, problems might occur when installing the enterprise edition of Google Chrome on a computer that already has the consumer edition present. Installing the enterprise edition of Google Chrome might not uninstall nor update the consumer edition. ![]() Important Note: This Fixlet will detect the existence of Google Chrome for both the consumer edition and the enterprise edition. The Fixlet will download the Enterprise version of Google Chrome from this page. Computers will report Relevant if there is any version of Google Chrome installed, even if the version is already up-to-date. This Fixlet attempts to update Google Chrome to the latest version available. Because of the dynamic nature of Google Chrome updates, this Fixlet does not validate the sha1 or sha256 hashes of the downloaded Google Chrome installer. Important Note: This is a Community Fixlet, with no official support from HCL BigFix.
